Arjana has been in Mumbai since the weekend, staying with friends, not far from the Cafe Leopold. All is well with her, and Mumbai is quickly returning to normal. She commented to me about the amazing resilience of the Mumbaikers, who want to get on with daily life as quickly as possible. The Cafe Leopold is back in business and buzzing with customers (bullet-ridden walls now covered with paintings), as are the street markets. She says everyone wants to talk about what happened, from the store owners to the cab drivers, so she has heard many absolutely amazing stories of courage and heroism which she will hopefully add to this blog. In her remaining few days, she is enjoying the exciting city of Mumbai and all it has to offer. It is in stark contrast to the emotional depths of the tragedy, but its also the best way to help the Mumbaikers return to normalcy.
Arjana returns to the US on Friday ... and boy, will we be happy to see her!
